NCR (No Carbon Required) books are the everyday workhorse of business in Tanzania — every shop, garage, transport company, agro-dealer, hotel, and NGO needs them. At Magno Tanzania we print custom carbonless duplicate and triplicate books with your logo, business details, sequential numbering and perforated tear-off sets — ready to use the day they arrive.

NCR Books Explained
How does NCR (Carbonless) work?
"NCR" stands for "No Carbon Required". Each ply of paper is chemically treated so that when you write or print on the top copy, the impression transfers cleanly to the copies beneath — no messy carbon paper needed. The top sheet (white) is for the customer, the second (yellow) for your office, and any further plies (pink, green) for accounts or filing.
Choosing your ply count
- 2-Ply (Duplicate) — the most common. White original goes to the customer, yellow copy stays in the book for your records. Used by most small shops and traders.
- 3-Ply (Triplicate) — adds a pink copy. Common workflow: White → Customer, Yellow → Accounts/Office, Pink → Stays in book for filing. Used by mid-sized businesses, transport, distributors.
- 4-Ply (Quadruplicate) — adds a green copy for warehouse or another department. Used by larger organisations, NGOs and complex internal workflows.
Sets per Book
A "set" = one complete transaction across all plies. So a 50-set 2-ply book has 50 white originals and 50 yellow copies. Common choices:
- 25 sets — small books for occasional use, samplers, or where books are replaced often.
- 50 sets — Tanzania standard. Lasts a small shop 1-2 weeks of daily trading.
- 100 sets — bulk books for heavy use businesses (hotels, busy retail, distributors).
Sequential Numbering (highly recommended)
Each set is pre-printed with a unique number (e.g. 0001, 0002, 0003…). Critical for accounting trails, TRA audits, fraud prevention, and stock control. Without numbering, it's hard to track missing or fake receipts. We recommend numbering for ALL invoice and receipt books.
Perforation
A micro-cut line near the spine lets you tear off the top copy cleanly while the carbon copies stay safely in the book. Without perforation, you'd have to cut with scissors or risk tearing roughly. Always recommended.
Binding Options
- Padded (Glue Top) — the standard for NCR books. Pages glued at the top, tear off as you use. Lightweight, easy to carry.
- Stapled (Saddle Stitch) — wire stapled at the spine. Book stays flat, pages stay in.
- Spiral Bound — wire coil. Opens flat on a desk — great for offices and clerks.
- Hard Cover + Padded — sturdy cover protects the book in trucks, on-site, in rough conditions.

How to Order Your NCR Books

1. Upload Your Logo/Layout
Have a layout ready? Upload your PDF or design. Otherwise just send your logo and we'll place it on our standard NCR template — fast and clean.
2. Let Us Design
Toggle "Design Assistance" and send us your business name, TIN/VRN numbers, phone, address and logo. We'll set up the template — invoice fields, columns, totals — and send you a proof for approval.
3. Order via WhatsApp

Delivery Information
When will I receive my NCR books?
Standard NCR book orders are produced and dispatched within 5-7 working days of artwork approval. NCR production involves setup, numbering, perforation and binding — more steps than a flyer — so plan ahead. Express options are available for urgent corporate orders.
Delivery within Tanzania
We deliver NCR books across Tanzania via trusted courier partners. Typical timing:
- Geita (our base) — same-day or next-day pickup/delivery.
- Mwanza, Shinyanga, Kahama — 1-2 working days.
- Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Dodoma, Mbeya — 2-3 working days.
- Other regions — 3-5 working days.
Delivery cost
NCR books in bulk are heavy — delivery cost varies by quantity, region and total weight. We'll confirm exact delivery cost when you place your order. Pickup from our Geita office is always free.
Tip: When your stock runs low, reorder early. We keep your design on file so reprints are quick — just confirm the new starting number to continue sequential numbering from where you left off.
